Hot off the runway Trends for summer from Lakme Fashion week -2014

This year Lakme Fashion Week 2014 more than 100 designers were featured with their designs and collection from the 18 Cities of India and the world. 92 Designers showcased their designs on the ramp. The event happened at Grand Hyatt Hotel, Mumbai from 12th to 16th March 2014.

Here is my "Trend Report" on the latest Trends for summer from Lakme Fashion week  2014

Sonam Kapoor is on the cover of Grazia magazine’s April issue. The sexy Fashionista is spotted in a printed crop top by Falguni and Shane Peacock showing off her midriff. The top had cute stripes in blue and white with other colorful prints on it. She paired the top with a denim and sheer Diesel skirt. Namrata in Tarun's Spring Summer 2014 collection

Namrata Shirodkar is spotted in an outfit designed by Tarun Tahiliani. It’s from his Spring Summer  2014 Collection. She wore this outfit at the 4th Anniversary celebration of Heal A Child Foundation in Hyderabad.

Her Look -

She wore a beautiful flared Anarkali churidar suit designed by Tarun Tahiliani. The outfit was from his latest spring, summer collection. The blackish blue kameez  was very tastefully paired with a contrast sea green dupatta. The highlight was dupatta’s red wide border that made the outfit stand out.  She paired her outfit with a black peep toe heels.

Namrata Shirodkar is a former model and Indian film actress, known for her works in Bollywood and Telugu cinema. 

Her Makeup and Hair - She kept her makeup simple to a black eyeliner with soft curls for hairdo, leaving a few strands on the shoulder.

Namrata worked as a model, and was crowned Miss India in the year 1993. She also represented India in the Miss Universe pageant and came in fifth place.

Tarun is known designer in Bollywood fashion Industry. His designs and styles are known for Indian craftsmanship and textile heritage with European tailored silhouette. I simply love the way  he combines traditional aesthetics with modern design.

Best Desi Dressed: 59th Filmfare Awards

This year’s 59th Annual Filmfare Award 2014 took red carpet fashion at a new level of fashion. Being one of the  top notch, award ceremony it is always held with lot of extravagance. A few Celebs were spotted in western gowns and kept it classy, while many were spotted in traditional Desi style. Below are a few are my personal star’s that looked gorgeous in Desi avatar that starry night –

Dia Mirza was one of the most graceful actor appeared in this gold designer net  sequin studded that she beautifully draped over a black tight trousers.  It was a perfect blend of a classy look with the latest trend.

Neha Dupia was spotted in Anju Modi lehenga that had amazing chanderi embroidery work. She paired her outfit  with a black designer sleeveless cropped blouse showing off her feminine curves.

Karisma Kapoor looked stunning in her fusion saree designed by Anamika Khanna which she paired with matching jewelry and accessories.

Amrita Rao wore a designer net saree by Payal Singhal which she paired with a black zigzag brocade blouse in a round neck pattern.

Kalki Koechlin wore this outfit designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee that was fully embellished all over.
