This year Lakme Fashion Week 2014 more than 100 designers
were featured with their designs and collection from the 18 Cities of India and
the world. 92 Designers showcased their designs on the ramp. The event happened
at Grand Hyatt Hotel, Mumbai from 12th to 16th March 2014.
Here is my "Trend Report" on the latest Trends for summer from Lakme Fashion week 2014
Street
style is in demand – Street style is very popular across the globe as its cool,
comfortable and chic. That includes cool maxi dresses, chola tops, Kediyu Jackets, short kurtis and patiala
pants, dhoti
pants, cropped cholis, geometric prints and floor length skirts.
Prints
are in fashion and is latest summer trend. Dots, Block print, digital,
handloom, Floral patterns are perfect for your this season’s wardrobe and is in
vogue. They add to your sizzling summer look.
Zips are made stylish and fashionable by designers
like Nikhil
Thampi, Nishka Lulla, Dhruv Kapur Huemn and Manish Malhotra by placing them in
various styles and outfits.
High
heels and peep toes are in demand. Patterns like dots, floral in pastel colors
look chic and summery.
Sheer layers are hot and in demand. It goes well
over any outfit and can turn a simple outfit into something glamorous and
fashionable.
Blue and orange shades rocked the ramp. Orange is
considered new black and blue is new color of the season. A lot of designers
showcased these colors teasing each other in various outfits.
