Teej Festival Saree

Teej festival falls in month of the Sawan or monsoons. It is celebrated in many states of India like Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and some parts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. This festival is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Three types of the festival are mostly celebrated namely Haryali Teej, Hartalika Teej and Kajari Teej.  Married women take a bath early and wear new clothes and adorn themselves with traditional ornaments. They buy traditional clothes like Sarees and Salwar suits. They visit the temples of Goddess Parvati and worship her.
